Andrew "Andy" Earnest Grayson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on April 29th, 1949, in Marietta, Ohio, Andy was a cherished resident of Vincent, Ohio, where he spent much of his life surrounded by family and friends.
Andy was a dedicated truck driver for DeBarr, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He was often described as a "jack of all trades, master of none," a testament to his diverse skills and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Marie Garretson (Tim) and Lori Borman (Tom), and his devoted step-sons, Jerry Long (Stephanie) and Terry Long. Andy was a proud grandfather to Justin Garretson, Nathan Garretson, Anthony Garretson (Rebecca), Jaclyn Grayson, and Matthew Borman, and a cherished great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tim Grayson (Serena), his sister, Emily "Cricket" Wendelken, and his sister-in-law, Bindy Grayson, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Andy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Mae Starlin Grayson, his parents, John Louis Grayson and Evah Elaine Renshaw Grayson, and his siblings, Jay, Jack, Thomas, Danny, and John Grayson, as well as his sisters, Ruth Richards and Tina Myers.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home in Barlow, Ohio, on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Thursday, August 27th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service to honor Andy's life will be held at the same location on Thursday, August 27th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Burial will will be in Veto Cemetery.
