Anna Margaret Schilling, 75, a resident of Heartland of Marietta for the past seven years, died Sunday morning, November 20, 2011. Born October 20, 1936, at Little Hocking, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Thomas and Mary Catherine Ritter Schilling. She had attended Little Hocking Grade School, and was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary's Central High School. Anna had worked at Bonham's Department Store following her schooling, and had retired from the Marietta YMCA, where she had been a desk clerk and a supervisor of the day care program. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She had been a member of the Catholic Women's Club at St. Ambrose and St. Mary's Catholic Churches. She is survived by one brother, Bernard Eugene Schilling, and his wife, Shirley Ann, of Barlow, and by several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Edith Roberta Schilling. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be celebrated 10:00 am Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where the Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 PM.
