Betty graduated from Paul Blazer High School in Ashland, Kentucky, in 1949. Her career in clothing sales spanned many dedicated years, working at Irene Fashions, Tiffany Small World, and finally, First Settlement all in Marietta, Ohio. Each establishment benefited from her warm spirit and expert eye.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church in Marietta for over half a century, she embraced her faith fully, later attending St. Andrews Anglican Church. Betty found great joy in attending church services, reading devotionals, and sharing laughter and adventures with her cherished friends, lovingly known as her "besties." She was an avid fan of watching classic westerns, which brought her delight.
Betty's life was a tapestry of love and devotion, as evidenced by her survivors. She is fondly remembered by her daughter, Teresa Close, with whom she made her home; her son, Tom Brammer, and his wife, Brenda; her daughter, Kathy Brammer; her five grandchildren, Amy Vennon (Troy), Matthew Close (Angela), Molly Wagner (Max), Nash Brammer, and Tommy Brammer; and her four great-grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Heuser, and Grant and George Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, John Bascomb Davis; her mother, Leona Adkins Davis; her beloved husband, Thomas Lee Brammer Jr., whom she married on March 7, 1953; her son-in-law, Rick Close; and her sister, Myrl Galligan.
