Betty Jean Golden

Betty Jean Golden, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on September 23rd, 1937, in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Betty was the daughter of the late William Harold Kelley and Gladys Mae Boggs Kelley. She graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1957 and was a Patient Financial Representative at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 2004.

Betty's life was enriched by her love for shopping, playing bingo, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tina Hall (James), and her devoted son, David Golden (Angela). Betty was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren and was blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William Harold Kelley and Gladys Mae Boggs Kelley.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home in Barlow, Ohio, on Friday, May 15th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at Veto Cemetery in Vincent, Ohio, at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Ryan Clegg officiating.
