Diana Marie Litman, a cherished resident of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the age of 69. Born in Lowell, Ohio, on June 8, 1957, Diana was the beloved daughter of the late Carl Bauerbach and Elinor Hughes Bauerbach Johnson.
Diana was a proud graduate of Fort Frye High School, Class of 1975. She dedicated many years working at Dollar Tree in Marietta, Ohio and Roger's Restaurant in Beverly, Ohio. She was known for her warm smile and friendly conversations with everyone she met.
Diana cherished her time with family with whom she was very proud. She had a deep love for music, especially Christmas music, she found joy in watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and was an avid reader. Her beloved cat, Tickles, who preceded her in death, was a constant companion and brought her immense joy. She was a devoted member of the Washington County Women's Republican Club. Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family and community will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, George Litman, whom she married on April 30, 1994. She leaves behind her cherished children, Jonah and Abigail, and her siblings, Carol (Robert) Parcell, Mary Ash, Steve Bauerbach, and Brian (Nancy) Bauerbach. Diana was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Kevin Bauerbach.
A cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Diana's memory and the love she shared with those around her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750, in Diana's honor.
