Earl Wayne Owens II

Earl Wayne Owens II, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on June 5, 1963, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Earl was a cherished resident of Marietta, Ohio, where he spent many years surrounded by family and friends.

Earl was a proud graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1981. Following graduation, Earl served his country honorably in the United States Army, a testament to his commitment and love for his nation. He worked at Fenton Glass in Williamstown, WV, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.

Earl was an active member of the community, participating in several organizations that reflected his diverse interests and passions. He was a member of the Siloam Lodge No. 456, Free and Accepted Masons, and was a member of the American Legion Marietta Post #0064 for 11 years. Earl also enjoyed his time with the Moose Fraternity Lodge #1118 for three years. His love for cruising, traveling, and woodworking brought joy to his life and those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Earl is survived by his devoted wife, Ronda Owens, whom he married on August 8, 2008. He leaves behind his cherished children: Kacey Compton (TJ), Savannah Dooley, Lyndsay Owens (Evan), Jason Blake (Keri), and Krista Blake. Earl was a proud grandfather to Quinton Terrell, Aubrey Terrell, Tyson Terrell, Amelia Owens, Shayla Collins, Elliana Blake, Lea Blake, Dawn Tucker, Zander Dooley, and Adelynn Dooley, and a great-grandfather to Leanne Dye. He is also survived by his sister, Missy Owens, his step-mother, Betty Owens, his good cruising buddies, Mike and Julie Ball, his lifelong friend, Ron Van Horn, his beloved cats, Luna and Baby, and his four nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Owens and Patricia Green Beebe, his siblings, Darla Owens Joseph, Geneva Dawn Owens, and Michael Owens, and his grandson, Braden Terrell.

A funeral service will be held at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOMES in Marietta, Ohio on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 am with Wille Hood officiating with burial to follow in Barlow Central Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Earl's life during the visitation for two hours prior to the funeral from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
