Gary Edward Kehl

Gary Edward Kehl, 60, of Marietta, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 13, 2011 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on June 8, 1951 in Marietta, to Gerald and Ruth Morris Kehl. Gary went to St. Mary's Catholic School through 11th grade and graduated from Marietta High School in 1969. He was a Sales Manager at Wieser & Cawley Furniture, and worked for them for over 35 years. Gary was an avid golfer, loved to bowl and play poker and was an Ohio State fan. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Kehl of Marietta; his wife, Elizabeth Loraine Quinn Kehl, whom he married on April 10, 1976; daughter, Stacy Mayer of Marietta; three grandchildren, Alexis, Chase, and Sterling Mayer all of Marietta; sister, Rosemary "Missy" Singer (Dan) of Caldwell; several nieces and nephews; and very close friends, Sarah and Dale Ingram of Williamstown, WV, and Nina Haught of Marietta. He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Deane Kehl. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Gordy Deere officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Sistersville, WV. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
