George Hudson Klintworth Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on December 30th, 1939, in Marietta, Ohio, George was a cherished resident of Lowell, Ohio, where he spent the majority of his life surrounded by family and friends.

George was the devoted husband of Janet Sue Klintworth, with whom he shared a life filled with love and laughter in Lowell, Ohio. Together, they raised a wonderful family, including their children: George Klintworth III, Bill Klintworth, Phillip (Jennifer) Klintworth, Ted (Becky) Klintworth, and Roy (Liz) Klintworth. George was also the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren—Tim, Sarah, Heather, Mitchell, Michael, Brittany, Susan, Samantha, Colton, Andrew, Haley, and Logan—and 16 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

He is survived by his siblings, Tom Klintworth, Sue (Lou) Settlage, Alma Gibson, and Lesia (John) Wyatt, as well as many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, George Hudson Klintworth Sr. and Virginia Ellen Nellett, and his siblings, Shirley McIntire, Kenneth Klintworth, and John Klintworth.

A proud graduate of Fort Frye High School in 1959, George served his country honorably in the Army. He later dedicated 31 years of his professional life as a Boiler Operator/Steam Engineer at AEP Beverly, retiring in 1997. George was an active member of Eagles 3665 in Beverly and Moose Lodge 192 in Lowell. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his association with the National Institute of Fishing & Game, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
