Hayden Matthew McNabb, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away on October 22nd, 2025, at the age of 18.
He was born on August 7, 2007, to Matthew Jacob “Jake” McNabb and the late Hannah Marie McNabb. Hayden was currently enrolled in the Electricity Program at Washington County Career Center. Hayden had proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on May 16th, 2025, as part of the Delayed Entry Program. He was eagerly preparing to leave for Parris Island, South Carolina on May 26, 2026.
Hayden had previously worked at Subway in Beverly and Duskey Lawn Care. He enjoyed playing basketball with his siblings and friends, walking around the farm with his brother Lawson, helping his brother Haddox tend to his lambs, and working alongside his dad on the farm. He was also a loving and protective big brother to his sister, Remi.
Hayden had a huge heart for animals-whether they had fur or scales. He adored his dogs Ester and Tracker, and never stopped missing his beloved beagle, Bailey, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge.
He attended the Fairview Church of Christ in Morgan County and will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love he shared with his family, friends, and animals.
He is survived by his father, Matthew Jacob “Jake” McNabb and Kayla Lewis; siblings Haddox Jacob, Remi Jo, and Lawson Jake; grandparents Hank and Becky McNabb, Angie Morrison, Denny and Colleen Herndon, and Chris and Karri Lewis; aunts and uncles Jamie McNabb (Jimmy), Sarah Camp (Jason), Denny Jr Herndon (Danielle), Alex Herndon (Emily), Kyle Lewis (Jessica), and Casey Lewis; and several cousins.
Visitation will be at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Saturday, October, 25th from 11-2:00. Services will begin at 2:00. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, Ohio. A dinner will follow the cemetery service at the American Legion Post 750 in Lowell, where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Hayden’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Washington County Humane Society 90 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta, Ohio 45750 in honor of Hayden’s deep love for animals.
