Hester Christina Offenberger

Hester Christina Offenberger, 87, of Marietta, Ohio, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 9, 1930 to Walter Blaine and Anna Ruth Holiday Oliver.
Hester was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, the CWC, and the O'Neill Senior Center. She loved playing bingo, quilting and sewing.
She is survived by her son, Delmer Offenberger (Tiffany) of Marietta; grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Levi, Hannah, Lexi and Jaydin; great grandchildren, Bryce, Owen and Noah; many nieces and nephews, including Mary Schmidt (Tony), J.R. and Chuck Schmidt and Blaine Oliver (Jody); and sister, Marie McGregor of Marietta;
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Offenberger, whom she married on September 13, 1950; her parents; nephew, Franklin Schmidt; four brothers, Elmer, Woodrow, Lee and Paul Oliver; and her sister, Ruth Tilton.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Basilica. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Lowell. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home.
