Ida Geraldine Eros

Ida Geraldine "Peachie" Eros, age 78, of Medina, and formerly of Marietta, died in Medina on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born February 21, 1935 in Newport to Earl Hansel and Ida Belle Kemp Morris. She was a graduate of Marietta High School. Peachie was well known in Marietta, having worked at the Lafayette Hotel, Betsey Mills Club, BPO Elks #477, and Ely Chapman as a cook and server. She enjoyed sports, the Olympics, and was an avid reader. She is survived by her three daughters, twins, Marlene and Darlene Smith, both of Medina, and Teri Lynn Zarnesky of North Olmsted, six grandchildren, Nick and Nathan Turrill, Leroy Clark, Marcus Esler and Rachel and Russell Jackson, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Ethel Warden, and a brother, Bradley Morris (Ruth), all of Marietta, a sister in law, Ann Morris, of Marietta and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Lee, Earl Jr. and Darrell Morris and five sisters, Virginia Mae Morris, Carolyn June Morris, Jessie Madison, Mary Haller and Bettie McCracken. Funeral services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial of her ashes will be at a later date at East Lawn.
