Jack Edward Poynter

January 15, 1951 — April 24, 2021

Jack E. Poynter, seventy years old of Marietta, OH passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on April 24th 2021.
He was born in Parkersburg, WV on Jan 15th 1951. He was the son of the late Lyle and Doralee Poynter of Newport, OH.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Jenkins) Poynter and three children that loved him dearly, Rebecca Noland of Huston, TX, Treavis (Katie) Poynter of Columbus, OH and Matthew (Mandy) Noland of Columbus, OH; and two beautiful granddaughters that made grandpa proud Rylee Noland and Ellie Poynter. Jack is also survived by one sister Barb Poynter (Jack) Jurin and one brother Rich (Lori) Poynter and many nieces and nephews.
Jack's favorite things were to hunt with his beagle dog, Hunter and riding his Harley.
He graduated from Frontier High School, and served three years in the US Army and retired from the WV Pipefitters Local 565 and has been a member of WV Pipe Trades Local 565 for fifty one years.
A memorial and celebration of Jacks life will be at our residence 106 Deer Haven St. Marietta, OH on May 8th at 1:00 pm. All family and friends are welcome to come and celebrate with us. Military honors will be held as well.
Donations can be made in memory of Jack Poynter at the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, 90 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750.
