He maintained the trucks for the squadron and served courageously with his many friends. When he returned home, he started the dairy farming with modern equipment. Jack was a farmer who loved to care for cattle, and plant and harvest crops. Jack loved his family and spent many hours laughing with them, rocking and walking babies, reading stories, or playing make believe. He had an infectious laugh, beautiful smile, sparkling mischievous blue eyes, and always a positive attitude. He was a friend to everyone. He was generous to everyone and would do whatever he could to help others. Jack was an active member of the Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, serving in many positions and helping to build the Sunday School addition. He enjoyed singing hymns and attending services. More importantly, Jack was a Christian who represented Christ and his church during his daily life. His faith never wavered throughout his illness. Work ethic was very important to Jack, his motto was "Get er done, done right". He always said if something nice can't be said, don't say anything at all. He was a wonderful example of who we should all seek to be. He taught us all how to love, be faithful and kind, and work like the dickens.
