James Paul Bauerbach, 79, of Lowell, Ohio, died Friday, November 24, 2017, in Marietta. He was born on February 4, 1938, in Lowell, Ohio, to John and Marie Offenberger Bauerbach.
Jim was a 1956 graduate of Lowell High School, and was a retiree of Globe Metallurgical. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell. Jim was also a member of the Farm Bureau, enjoyed farming and loved going to the flea markets to find a great deal and visit with everyone.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Bauerbach (Amber) of Tuppers Plains, Ohio and Jeff Bauerbach (Jeni) of Lowell; nine grandchildren, Courtney, Faith, Abigail, Samuel, Rikki, Nick, Collin, Kail and Kyndyl; four siblings, Mary Nicholson (John) of Normantown, WV, Cecil Bauerbach of Lowell, Betty Morris (R.B.) of Lowell, and Joanne Schott (Dean) of Beverly, Ohio; sister in law, Grace Bauerbach of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Vearl Newlon; two brothers, Donald (Jean) Bauerbach and David Bauerbach; and brother in law, Charlie Rhodes.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with a Vigil service held at 7 p.m. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy, 5001 Lowell Hill Road, Lowell, Ohio 45744.
