James Everett Carver, a lifelong resident of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on January 19th, 1953, in Marietta, Jim was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Jim was a proud graduate of Marietta High School, where he formed many lasting friendships and began his journey into adulthood. Throughout his life, he was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Lightfritz, and her husband Joseph; his cherished stepdaughters, Nikita Wolfe and her husband Richard, and Amanda Cochran and her husband Kevin. Jim was a proud grandfather to Nathan, Tony, Rosie, Maria, Liz, Rose, Megan, David, Ashlie, Kaleb, Corey, and Austin, and a doting great-grandfather to Gabriella, Zachary, Lucas, Sterlyng, and Aiden. He is also survived by his brother, Garry Carver and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Carver and Dorothy L. Higgins Carver, his brother Charles Carver, Jr., and his daughter, Chasity Carver. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
