Jeffrey "Jeff" Dean Hall

Jeffrey "Jeff" Dean Hall, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born on June 27, 1959, in Richmond, Virginia to Wilbur D. Hall and Jane F. Lang Hall Callihan.

Jeff graduated from Marietta High School in the Class of 1977. He later attended Ohio University and then worked for twelve years as a dispatcher with the Washington County Sheriff's Department, where he made many friends and thoroughly enjoyed his work, retiring in 2009. Jeff was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. He had a deep love for music, especially the band Rush. Jeff also loved Fenton Art Glass and enjoyed attending auctions. He also enjoyed anything to do with aviation.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Natalie K. Carder; his loving Aunt Linda Baumgard, who helped Jeff for many years; his special cousin, Claire Mendenhall; and his lifelong friend, Mike Omietanski, who enjoyed playing Jeopardy with Jeff and assisting him with errands. He is also survived by his step-sisters, Beth Dever and Julie Meredith, his step-brother, Mike Callihan, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Marietta, Ohio, on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to celebrate Jeff's life.
