Jeffrey James Lang

Jeffrey J. Lang, 68, of Marietta, Ohio went to his heavenly home August 5, 2026. He was born to Delbert and Norma (Stollar) Lang on April 3, 1958 in Marietta.

Jeffrey attended St. Mary Catholic School until his family moved to Bramblewood Heights in 1968. After moving, he attended Warren Elementary and Warren High School, graduating in 1978. He loved music, and sang with the chorus as well as played in the marching band for all four years.

He sang with the Barbershop Swingers for 48 years, starting at just 16 years old, and was also a member of the Gospel Music Reunion in Parkersburg for 26 years.

Jeffrey had been employed with Lang Farm Equipment after high school until he went on to work for Harts, Big Bear Plus in Parkersburg, and later, Giant Eagle until his health declined in 2013.

Jeffrey loved his time spent with members of Pinehurst Christian Church, and his family, mother, Norma, siblings, David and Sylvia Lang, Douglas and Pam Lang, and Deborah Westfall, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Lang, and brother-in-law, David Westfall.

Funeral services will be held at MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME, 408 Front St. Marietta, Ohio 45750 on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Mark Wilmoth as officiant. Family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday before funeral. Burial in East Lawn Memorial Park.
