Jeremy Joseph Schott

Jeremy Joseph Schott, age 47, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away at his home on August 23, 2026.

He was born on June 16,1979 in Marietta, Ohio to Dean and Joanne Schott. He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1997 and went on to serve in the US Navy aboard the USS George Washington for 6 years.

His friends and family will always remember his mischievousness and kind heart. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, as well as target practicing and gun collecting. Most of all, Jeremy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father Dean Schott and siblings Deana Milligan, Todd Schott and Mark Schott. He also leaves behind his half-sister, Karen Augenstein; his godson and nephew, Tracy Milligan Jr.; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Schott.

A celebration of Jeremy's life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME, located at 408 Front Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750, with a graveside service to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery in Beverly, Ohio with full military honors. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the O'Neill Senior Center, 333 Fourth Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
