Jo Ann Ingram

Jo Ann Ingram, a beloved mother, grandmother, educator, and community leader, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on March 5, 1938 to Christopher and Opal White and was raised in Bartlett, Ohio. Jo Ann dedicated her life to her family, her students, and her community.

A proud alumna of Ohio University, Jo Ann majored in Education and went on to inspire countless young minds as a dedicated teacher in the Warren Local School District for over forty years. Even after her retirement, she continued to share her passion for learning as a substitute teacher, touching the lives of many students and colleagues.

Jo Ann was an active member of the Tunnel United Methodist Church and participated in numerous organizations, including the Retired Teachers Association, DKG teachers organizations, Grange, Retired Seniors Professionals, and the Lions Club of Scenic Hills. Her commitment to service extended to her role as a Boy Scout leader and a board member of the Education Service Center. Jo Ann's love for her community was evident in her countless hours of volunteering and her unwavering dedication to making a difference. Her family and friends will remember Jo Ann for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her legacy of love, education, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Her legacy continues through her devoted sons, Jeff Ingram (Carol) and James Ingram (Courtney), and her treasured grandchildren, Marcus, Alec, Haley, and Conner Ingram. Jo Ann also leaves behind her faithful canine companion, Ash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Jack Ingram, and her brother, Jimmy Scott White.

Following her wishes, Jo Ann's family will have a private burial for her at Bartlett Cemetery to be held at a later date.
