Kenneth Eugene Berg

April 16, 1943 — February 23, 2013

Kenneth E. Berg, 69, of Marietta, died on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marietta on April 16, 1943, the son of the late Kenneth H. and Marjorie Ullman Berg. Kenny graduated from Marietta High School and had worked as a union carpenter for Local #356, in most of the local industrial plants, in and around the valley.He was a member of the Valley Harvest Church. Kenny is survived by his five sisters, Sandy Bickert (Randy), Candie Parsons (Dan), Linda Green (Jack), Karen Lisk (Mike), and Sharon Gregory (Tim), two daughters, Missy Kitts (Cam) and Cindy Smith, two adopted children, Trish and Ricky Berg, two grandsons, Trevor Kitts (Jessie) and Tyler Kitts, and two great grandsons, Trenton and Hunter. Abiding with Kenny's wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Rodney Lord officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. His ashes will be entombed at East Lawn Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, P.O. Box 5, Marietta, Ohio 45750. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting Kenny's family with cremation and celebration of life services.
