M. Ann Mayer, 82, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1942 in Marietta, to Gerald Alton and Phylena Hester Dennis Henderhan.
Ann graduated from Marietta High School in 1960. She was a realtor for Cranston Real Estate for many years. Ann belonged to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and the Marietta Elks Club, #477. She loved working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Michelle Mayer (Chris Ginocchio) and Charles Mayer; six grandchildren, Alexis Booth, Chase, Sterling and Preston Mayer, and Spencer and Karlee Ginocchio; six great grandchildren, Maisy, Romy, Beau and Winnie Booth and Evie and Casper Mayer; two sisters, Mary Conley and Marilyn Stobaugh; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Mayer, whom she married on September 7, 1963; and sister, Diane Cunningham.
Abiding with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been made and a celebration of life will take place at a later time. Her ashes will be buried alongside her husband in New St. Mary’s Cemetery.
