Margaret Irene Snider

Margaret Irene Snider, 91, of Waterford, Ohio, died Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Beverly, Ohio. She was born on January 22, 1925, in Monroe County to Herbert Joseph and Anna Pearl Leasure Smithberger. Margaret worked at the Pottery in Williamstown before her marriage to Rondell Delford Snider on April 5, 1947, then had worked for the Warren Local School District. She was a past member of Little Hocking Church of Christ and current member of Barnett Ridge Church of Christ and is a member of the Friends and Neighbors Club. Margaret loves westerns, china dolls and traveling, but loved her family most of all. She is survived by four children, Linda Hall (John) of Layman, Patricia Wittekind (Bruce) of Waterford, Sheldon Snider (Debbie) of Vincent and Mike Snider (Sharon) of Waterford; 13 grandchildren, Sherry Hall, Julie Smith (Larry), Sally Thompson (Leroy), John Hall II, Myla Thomas (Doug), Tim Wittekind, Joshua Snider (Stacie), Zachary Snider (Samantha), Susan Snider Lee (Dave), Sheldon Jamie Snider, Tara Stephans (Brian), Jessie Hopkins (Shawn) and Gloria Wittekind; 15 great grandchildren, Steven, Cody and Mandy Lee, Joshua Kyle, Colin and Kayla Snider, Brittany and Isaiah Lee, Jesse Snider, Sabrina, Mailina and Anthony Wittekind, Brandon Thomas (Rebecca), Wesley Thomas (Tabatha) and Tori Wittekind; three great great grandchildren, Avery and Aubrey Lee and Brayden Thomas; one sister, Shirley Morey (Leroy) of Williamstown; one sister in law, Carolyn Smithberger of Newport; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Tony Wittekind, three brothers, Robert, Bernard and Ronald Smithberger and sister, Virginia Mallett. Funeral service will be held at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016, with Minister Wilbert Antill officiating. Burial will follow in Barlow Central Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Barnett Ridge Church of Christ, P.O. Box 38, Fleming, Ohio 45729. Margaret's family will like to thank Muskingum Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly for all their loving care and kindness.
