Millman Wayne Spearman

M. Wayne Spearman, 77, of Lowell, Ohio, died Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born on February 4, 1942 in Savannah, GA to Herman and Helen Carter Spearman.

Wayne was a retired military veteran, serving his country in the U.S Air Force and U.S. Army. He was a general contractor and owned and operated Home Counselor. Wayne was a member of the American Legion, Post #64.

He is survived by his sister, Rochelle Vaigneur of Norfolk, VA; friends, Kenny & Linda Mendenhall and Richard Decker, Jr., all of Lowell; and his beloved dog, Sunny.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Baxter Spearman on December 15, 2013; step son, Lester Goodwin; and step daughter, Shirma Goodwin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with The Rev. Linda Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery, with full military honors observed. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services on Friday.
