Peggy Lou Kellar

Peggy Lou Kellar, 80, of Marshall Road, Marietta, died December 19, 2008, at The Inn, at Marietta. She was born July 18, 1928 in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Thorn Crimmel. She was a graduate of Marietta High School, class of 1946, and was the 1946 homecoming queen. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper at her husband's business, Bob Kellar Auto Sales, in Lowell, until the sale of the business. On January 23, 1948, at Norwood United Methodist Church, she married Robert E. Kellar, who preceded her in death on September 5, 2007. Peggy is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hockenberry (David) of Reno, a son, M.G. Kellar of Indiana, and a grandson, Matthew Hockenberry. Peggy was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church, the Ladies' Oriental Shrine Club, Marietta Order of Eastern Star #59, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Child Conversation League and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Spears officiating. Entombment will be at East Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. There will be Eastern Star services held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
