Robert "Bob" M. Armour II

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" M. Armour II, who departed this life on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on Tuesday, February 11, 1947, in Parkersburg, WV, Bob was a resident of Marietta, Ohio, where he spent his final years surrounded by his family and friends.

Bob was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War and later as a Night Manager for many years at many area hotels.

A man of many interests, Bob was a former member of the Marietta Country Club and The Marietta Moose #1823. He had a passion for golfing, watching baseball, and was an avid fan of NASCAR, with a particular admiration for Dale Earnhardt.

Bob is survived by his beloved significant other, Susan Schweitzer, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He leaves behind his son, Bret Armour (Sarah), along with his cherished grandson, Dylan Armour. Bob is also survived by his sister, Sherry Ayers, and his very special friend, Geoff Brunton, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Berneda Bowersock Armour, his brother, Gary Armour, and his sister, Jennie Abdella.

In accordance with Bob's wishes, a direct cremation has taken place.
