Robert Alan Gilham, 70, of Lowell, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio, to William E. and Opal Q. Barnes Gilham.
Bob graduated from Union Local in Morristown, Ohio. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Air Force for 20 years. Bob was also a diesel mechanic. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 750 and working with leather and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Judith M. Arnold; children, Jennifer Snyder of Lowell, Robert Gilham, Jr. (Beverly) of Marietta and Dale Gilham of Lowell; and five grandchildren, Alex, Anthony, Emma, Timothy and Charles.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy in Lowell on Saturday, February 23, 2019, with The Rev. Timothy Shannon celebrating. Burial of his ashes will be in the church cemetery following the service, with full military honors observed. Family will greet friends on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with a Vigil service held at 3:30 p.m.
