Robert Arthur Kirkbride, 49, of Virginia Beach, VA, died Sunday, December 18, 2011. Bob was born December 31, 1961 in Marietta. He grew up in Marietta where he attended Marietta High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and practiced as a journeyman electrician in Virginia Beach for 25 years. Bob loved his family and had a unique sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all of those who love him, including his wife, Denise, his four children, David, Jamie, Stephanie and Bobby, his grandson, Dominick, his parents, Jim and Dorothy Kirkbride, his siblings, Donna Kirkbride (Paul Glock), Karen (David) Rhoads, Steve (Dawn) Kirkbride, aunts and uncles, Bob and Janeen Kirkbride, Dick and Debra Cutshaw, Jenne Cutshaw and Pam Cutshaw, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a memorial service held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at noon with Chris Mullins, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
