Roger Young Woodford

Roger Young Woodford, a beloved resident of Beverly, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on October 13, 1936, in Cambridge, Ohio to Seth and Jean Young Woodford, he lived a life full of love, dedication, and hard work.

Roger was a graduate of Lowell High School and went on to establish a successful career as a truck driver. He owned and operated his own company, Woodford Trucking, where he was known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. Beyond his professional life, Roger had a passion for old cars and enjoyed tinkering with small equipment, both his own and for others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

On February 17, 1957, Roger married the love of his life, Patti Fouss. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared countless cherished memories. Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Patti, and their son, Dan Woodford (Shana) and their grandson they raised as their own, Mikey Woodford (Pam). He was a proud grandfather to Jeremy, Taylor, Jared, Reis, and Jordan Woodford, and a loving great-grandfather to Isabella, Megan, Eden, Victoria, Fallyn, Adalynn, and Keith. Roger is also survived by his sister, Sara Chichester.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jane Ann Rauch, and his sons, Mike and Mark Woodford.

A direct cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Roger's life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather and honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to L & A Fire and Rescue, 223 Lock Street, P.O. Box 406, Lowell, OH 45744, in Roger's memory.
