Ronald "Ron" Alan Erb

Ronald "Ron" Alan Erb, of Williamstown, WV, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born in Alliance, OH to Claude and Betty Lucas Erb on July 13, 1947.

A proud graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1965, Ron pursued a career as a printer, working with Hyde Brothers and Richardson Printing. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life, as he was an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years.

Ron's passion for community involvement was evident through his volunteer work at Henderson Hall and his contributions to the Wood County Historical Society, particularly with the Williamstown Train Depot. He also dedicated time to the Williamstown Public Pool, working concessions, and served his community as a councilman for the Williamstown City Council, as well as on the Williamstown Sewer Board and Tree Commission.

He is survived by his two sons, Thomas (Jennifer) and Michael Erb, his former daughter-in-law Stacy Moore, and his grandchildren, Brady, Joshua, and Connor Erb, as well as his brother, Steve Erb.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Erb, whom he married in November of 1978, his parents, his sisters Linda Bayles and Lisa Stalnaker, and his infant brother, Jeffrey Erb.

Visitation will be held at the MARIETTA CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME in Marietta, Ohio, on Saturday, September 26t 2026, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. A private burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery.
