Ruby Eloise Hall, 89, of Cutler, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at her residence. She was born March 24, 1925 in Marietta to Roy E. and Mildred M. Schantz Schrader. She was a graduate of Marietta High School had been a dental assistant in Marietta for Dr. Kleiman, retiring in 1985. Ruby was den mother of the Cub Scout troop that met at Norwood Methodist Church, when living in Marietta, also a member of the Oak Hill Grange, Fairfield Council of Farm Bureau, and the Washington County Farm Bureau. For several years she had served on the Easter Seal Society Committee, was involved with the Senior Levy, RSVP and had been dispatcher for the Barlow Fire Department emergency phone. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Vincent. Ruby made and donated quilts for local organizations in her later years. She is survived by her children, Richard W. Hall (Jan), James E. Hall, and John D. Hall (Linda) and Elizabeth A. Pickrell (O.J.), with whom she had made her home for the past many years. Her children are all living now on farms in the Layman area. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren, and a sister, Marjorie Sue Miller. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Hall on December 26, 2011, they had been married on June 11, 1942. Also preceded by brothers and sisters, Donald and Tom Schrader and Dorothy Bishop and Marion Wunderlich and a daughter in law, Betty May Hall. Funeral services will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014, with Pastor Rob Vernon officiating. Friends may call at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Layman Cemetery.
