Tina Lee Bohl of Lowell, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026, shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was born on September 21, 1968 in Marietta, Ohio to Clyde Sr. and Edith Wagner Jackson. Tina devoted her life to her family, her students, her faith, and her community.
A 1986 graduate of Fort Frye High School, Tina went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University in 1989 and her Master’s Degree in Education from Marietta College in 1996.
Mrs. Bohl dedicated 37 years to education as a middle school science teacher with the Fort Frye Local School District, retiring in May 2026. Her passion for teaching extended beyond the classroom, as she also taught evening computer classes at Washington State Community College for 22 years, serving as Adjunct Level VI Faculty from 1991 to 2013.
Tina was a faithful member of Lowell United Methodist Church, where she volunteered with Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday school classes, and assisted with the S.O.A.P. outreach ministry. Throughout the years, she generously gave her time to numerous community organizations, including the local Girl Scout troop, 4-H Club, and serving as a Color Guard Advisor.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Randy Bohl; her children, Ryan Bohl of Floyds Knobs, IN, Derek Bohl of Raleigh, NC, and Megan Bohl of Lowell; her father; her sister Heather (Don) Buck of New Matamoras; her brother, Bill (Sandy) Jackson of Richmond, VA.
Tina is preceded in death by her mother; her grandparents, Ollie and Goldie Westbrook Wagner; and her step-brother, Kenney Jackson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at the LOWELL CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOMES in Lowell, Ohio with Rev. Don Archer officiating, a graveside service will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, Ohio. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the funeral service.
Tina will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to education, unwavering faith, and the countless lives she touched throughout her years of service to her family, students, church, and community. Memorial donations may be made to the Lowell United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 332, Lowell, Ohio 45750 in Tina’s memory.
