Twilla Delores Hetrick, 89, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Marietta, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 11, 1928 in Lower Salem, Ohio to Fred and Ethel Lamp Doan.
Twilla worked at Deano's Pizzeria in Lowell for many years. Her grandchildren loved visiting her for lunch on their way to the pool in the summers. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Purple Heart. Twilla loved doing genealogy, and found that she is a direct descendant to William Brewster, of the Mayflower. She also loved going to yard sales, gardening, baking, family gatherings and puzzles.
She is survived by five children, Mary De Long (Hank) of Macksburg, Fred Arbaugh (Delores) of Crooked Tree, Ohio, Ralph Arbaugh, Jr. (Robin) of Westin, WV, Willie Arbaugh (Laurie) of Williamstown, WV and Doug Arbaugh (Karen) of Lowell; 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren (and three on the way); brother, Delmer Doan of Marietta; sister, Ruth Morningstar of Phoenix City, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
Waiting with open arms in Heaven is her first husband, Ralph Arbaugh; second husband, Paul Hetrick; daughters, Fran Batten and Eva Arbaugh; her great grandson, Tony Arbaugh; and her sister, Martha Prunty.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell. Donations may be made to the L-A Fire & Rescue Squad, P.O.
