Wanda Anne Meiser

March 30, 1950 — February 3, 2026

Lowell

Lowell, Ohio – Wanda Anne Meiser, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her residence in Lowell, Ohio. Born in Marietta, Ohio, on March 30, 1950, Wanda lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others.

Wanda was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur Dean Hunter and Colleen Anne Hunter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Truman Meiser, and her dear daughter, Angela Lynn Meiser-Smith.

Wanda's educational journey began at Fort Frye High School, and she graduated from Springdale High School in Springdale, Arkansas, in 1968. She pursued her passion for helping others by attending Good Samaritan Hospital Nursing School, where she became a registered nurse. Wanda dedicated around 25 years of her life to teaching at ABLE in Beverly and Marietta, where she found her true calling in preparing adults for their GEDs.

Wanda's life was enriched by her family, whom she adored. She is survived by her loving daughter, Heather Ayers, and her husband, Taten J., as well as her treasured grandchildren, Victoria Anne Lavender and Taten Emerson Ayers. She was a proud great-grandmother to Elliot Lavender and Dameon Lattea. Wanda also leaves behind her son-in-law, James Smith, and her step-grandson, Zach Loscar, along with his wife, Ashleigh, and their sons, Ollie and Malaki.

Wanda is also survived by her brother, Donald Hunter, and her sister, Marcia Hunter, along with her husband, Devin Pinkerton. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Jeanne Chalfant and Amy Meiser, and her many nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own.

Wanda was a woman of many talents and interests. She loved making jewelry, was a voracious reader, and was an avid gardener. Her greatest joy came from cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at their sporting and academic events.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the L-A Fire and Rescue or the Beverly-Waterford Fire Department, organizations that were close to Wanda's heart.

Abiding with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services. The family is being served by Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, which offers online condolences and additional resources on their website, www.CawleyandPeoples.com, or through their Facebook page.

Wanda Anne Meiser's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be cherished forever. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
